== What was done engineering wise? ==

Testing of the Alpha 1 image on a select batch of systems in the 
Hardware Certification labs:

With holidays, not many systems have been tested yet, but no significant 
issues found on the ones tested so far.

Nothing significant. One bug located, but it does not block the system 
from being certified:

Nothing that we are working on specifically. Everything is ok
