Bonjour à tous !
Comme vous le savez probablement déjà, Canonical a ouvert des bureaux
içi, à Montréal, qui sont principalement destinés au service de support
technique. D'ailleur, j'y travail maintenant comme analyste sénior.
Il y a présentement plusieurs postes d'analyste de support junior qui
sont ouverts. Essentiellement, le travail consiste à répondre aux
appels et aux courriels de support qui proviennent des clients ayant une
entente de soutien technique avec Canonical. C'est une très bonne
opportunité pour ceux qui commencent en TI et qui voudraient se faire de
l'expérience sur Linux.

Junior Ubuntu Systems Support Analyst

Job Summary: Canonical Ltd. is looking for JUSSAs to work from a new
support centre in Montreal, Canada supporting its commercial clients on
its flagship product, Ubuntu. JUSSAs are the flowering buds that we hope
to nurture into Senior USSAs.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
* Handling front-line support by telephone, email, and online.
* Work with development team to deliver fixes to clients.
* Contribute articles to the support knowledgebase.
* Be a member of the on-call rotation.
* Work with Quality Assurance.
* Travel internationally to conferences.
Requirements
Specific Job Skills:
* 1-2 years of public-facing experience: Retail, volunteer, call
centre, etc.
* 1-2 years of Linux experience, either desktop or server.
* You need to like people. They need to generally like you.
* You should have excellent spoken and written English and French.
* You must be able to begin work immediately in Montreal, Canada.
Key Qualities:
* Experience with Free Software in a Windows environment, as well as
traditional office applications.
* Working use of other languages, like Spanish, German, or Mandarin.
* Have some knowledge around Debian packaging.
* Courses in computer troubleshooting (College or Technical School).
* Public contributions to Free Software. (please provide URLs)
