Perl6 Version Ubuntu 16.04

Hi Quality Team,

Ubuntu 16.04 is using a perl version which has been "prior" to the official
release

perl6 -v
This is perl6 version 2015.11 built on MoarVM version 2015.11

The first official release was 2015.12

This results in functionalities not working as intended. Can you tell me if
this counts as bug and if you have plans to upgrade Ubuntu to the most
recent perl6 version?
