Helping improve Ubuntu with what I learned.

I just signed up and joined the Ubuntu community and I just finished learning python and would like to help test the software until I get more experience and then I would like to write the new software. I tried to find the page where I could see what needed testing but I couldn't find it. If someone could be so kind to give me a link or tell me how to find it.
