Fresh install on a 256gb SSD,  Intel I5  5200 OU on a Lenovo G50-80 ; full
screen from "OFF"( no battery and power off) in about 12 seconds. Playing
videos and M4a tracks within 60 minutes of insertion of install media!

I upgraded to the 4.1 kernel following instructions from
http://ubuntuportal.com/2015/08/kernel-4-1-6-lts-ubuntu.html

I personally prefer the" look and feel" of KDE but KUbuntu flakes out on my
RTL8723BE wifi and is comparatively slow to launch and not as stable.
Although I like the "look and feel" of the interface SuSe flakes on the
Wifi and on multimedia.
