I've used SDC for a while, but mostly I'm using dd. dd is not a tool for
newbies and no app should reside in dd only.

Disks, yes I've used this also a couple of times.

If I'm in Windows I'm using Rufus (rufus.akeio.ie). It would be great if
someone could port this tool on Linux, I cannot.

Now, about the bugs in general. Please let us truck them down a little
(http://www.whizzy.org/2015/09/big-bug-bonanza-16-04-lts/), I've already
started, then we can discus in a more clear field.
