Hi Anand,

you join us in a a period where we all take a deep breath and some rest.
13.10 is out of the door and in the wild :) Do have a read of
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/Activities and the pages it links to. Have
a good read of what areas there are that interest you. Also, without
sounding pretentious over your name there is also the translations teams
that linked with documentation etc. always are need in of more people.

To make a long story short; have a look at what areas you want to help in
and can best do so - then just say "Hi, I'd like to help with <what ever
you choose>" The team you apply for will welcome you.
