Pierre, if there are specific things that should be added to the gimp 
testcase, simply file a new bug for them :-) Otherwise, continuously 
improving testcases is the name of the game so anyone is free to add 
things to it at any time. The lack of a bug doesn't stop you from 
improving a test.

That said, indeed it may not get as much attention if there are no open 
bugs, so I would encourage you to open a new bug describing the tests 
still needed. Most of the bugs on the tracker call for the initial 
testcase of the package. Once an initial test has been written and that 
bug is closed, we can consider filing additional bugs for specific tests 
needed against the package if we want to ensure the testcase is expanded 
to include those testcases. I trust that makes sense!
