If you are affected by this bug and cannot boot into your system --
like I was -- you can solve the problem by booting from a LiveCD or
LiveUSBStick, selecting 'rescue system' and open a shell on your main
partition. There you can use the commands 'sudo apt-get update' and
'sudo apt-get upgrade' to upgrade to the latest version of Plymouth
and mount, which should solve your problems.
