My 2-cent.

1. can we create a startup USB key in 32-bit and 64-bit? Are they compatible?
2. can we create a startup USB key from an option - 'Use Ubuntu without installation'?
3. can we create a startup USB key from an Ubuntu OS that is running on Windows Virtual PC?

Thanks,
Best Regards

Subject: Help Wanted: USB creator test cases

Hello guys,

Recently I wrote some test cases for the USB disk creator (now Startup
Disk Creator) in the wiki [1].

These test cases will be included, from Alpha 2, in our ISO testing as
part of the "Generic Product".

Nevertheless, it would be great if anyone could volunteer to extend
those test cases and include some that haven't been included.

Some examples to include:
1) Creating a USB key from Live Environment w/o persistence
2) Creating a USB key from Live Environment w/persistence
3) Creating a USB key from Installation using a CD as the source w/o
persistence
4) Creating a USB key from Installation using a CD as the source
w/persistence
5) Creating a USB key from Installation using a ISO as the source
w/persistence
6) Creating a USB key from Installation using a ISO as the source w/o
persistence

These tests won't be part (initially) of our ISO tracker, but they will
be available in the wiki for others to test and those proved useful will
be added, eventually, to our milestone testing.

So, if you want to help us improving our test cases, just edit that wiki
page and follow the same wiki structure.

We are always at #ubuntu-testing to help you in the process.

Thanks everyone!
Ara.
