New to qa

Hello all.

I just joined ubuntu a few weeks back to help the ubuntu community in  
whatever way I can.

I am a final year undergraduate student in telecom engineering and  
avid user of freebsd and fedora. I started using ubuntu permanently on  
my laptop a few months back and eager to help propel such a great  
piece of software.

Is there anything official that should be done to become part of qa?  
How does it normally work?
