Hello everyone,
My name is Greg Grossmeier and I a very excited to see this team taking
shape. I also would love to lend my support, and as such, I am sending
this email to officially apply for membership.
I am an active member of the Bug Control team and also the leader of the
Michigan LoCo. For Bug Control I was very active during the Hardy
development cycle (as seen by the 5-a-day stats page[0]) but lately have
slowed due to a summer internship. However, even though I am in a
different state for the summer I am still trying to put together a local
event for the Global Bug Jam.
In the past the Michigan LoCo and I have put on Bug Jams and Packaging
Jams. We even did both of those at a big Open Source/SciFi conference
(Penguicon) which had really high turnout and interest.
In the future I hope to continue my involvement with the bugcontrol team
and take on more responsibility within the team (as with the recent call
for help with promoting Hug Days).
My involvement with the QA team will mostly focus around relationships
between the bug control team and the QA community as a whole. I hope to
use my experience from working on Community Development at Creative
Commons towards this area in Ubuntu.
Well, I think that is it for my intro.
Best,
Greg
