Problemas com GeForce FX5500

Olá amigos,
Tenho uma placa de vídeo GeForce FX5500 e não consigo configurá-la
corretamente no meu Ubuntu 6.10. Já segui alguns tutoriais que encontrei
pela Web mas não obtive sucesso. Tentei instalar com o Automatix, Synaptic e
baixando o driver pelo site da nVidia, mas nada de sucesso!
Segue abaixo o log de erro e a configuração do meu arquivo xorg.conf
