Hello Daniel!

Yes, I commentend at this bug and I've also tested some of the patches proposed. The 
issue comes from upstream, it's not easy to solve completely but it has been improved in 
Oneiric. But as Phoronix proved in some benchmarks it haven't been completely solved, 
expecially for some cpus like atoms on netbooks.

Btw the problem is not just the power usage, I rarely use the PC with just battery, it 
is the temperature that made me worry about long term health of the hardware, and also 
it's unconfortable keeping it on the lap :\
