Inkscape works great. Another alternative to Inkscape is XaraLX. It just
works fast for me. Ive been using XaraLX for more than a year now on my
Linux box and hasn't flinched since. I use XaraLX for jobs ranging from
leaflets, brochures, datasheets, web site banners and buttons, jacket
patches, what-have-you.
