Some people here are aware I got involved in IOSN a few months back
and since the ASEAN+3 node is now established, I'm forwarding one of
the projects to come out and I can say a lot of people here would be
interested in joining.

 The International Open Source Network (IOSN ASEAN+3),
InWEnt-Capability Building International Germany, and Open Society
Institute are offering two major back-to-back FOSS activities in
Manila:

 1. a 10-day Linux Training of Trainors (limited slots only for local
participants), UP Diliman  on October 9-20, 2006

 The organizers can waive the Php 10,000 Linux Training of Trainors
fee for selected local

 2. Linux Professionals Institute Certification Exams (open to the
public) UP Diliman on October 21, 2006

 The LPI Level 1 Certification is set at Php 1750 (about USD$30) for
each set (LPI 101 and LPI 102) for a total of Php 3500 (USD$60). The
certification exams are open to the public. Attendance to the Linux
Training of Trainors is not required for LPI certification.
