Hi Ronnie,
Kubuntu is generally understood as a version of Ubuntu that uses the K
desktop environment (KDE) as default, instead of vanilla Ubuntu's
GNOME desktop. Kubuntu IIRC ships a lot more Qt-based applications,
since KDE uses the Qt toolkit, unlike GNOME which uses GTK 2.
