i also changed the runlevel in /etc/inittab from 2 to 5, but still get
the same message.
issuing the command,
$ sudo startx
gives me this error:
giving up
xinit: connection refused (errno 111) unable to connect to X server
xinit: no such process (errno 3) server error

is there somthing wrong with my dpkg parameters, it still encountered
errors after i upgraded the kdelibs
