<html> <head> <style> .hmmessage P { margin:0px; padding:0px } body.hmmessage { FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY:Tahoma } </style> </head> <body class='hmmessage'> Mario- I have an idea to support Software Freedom day, but, unfortunately, I am out of town until Friday before the conference.  I would like to set up a demonstration to illustrate what can be accomplished with Software Libre: 1- Using Ubuntu and QtDMM (both open source) to monitor electrical parameters and such. 2- Ubuntu set up as dual boot, as well as a choice of English or Spanish for the Ubuntu installation 3- Financial software for small businesses (GNU Cash, also open source) 4- Accessing Windows applications from Ubuntu 5- An Xubuntu installation (also dual boot) on my laptop I am a bit concerned about security however- I would have to set up quite a bit of valuable equipment to accomplish this.  However, I think this could help promote Ubuntu, expecially for technical applications.  What do you think?
