Lo mas posible es que el apt lo actualize automaticament, tanto yum como apt los he visto preguntarme si quiero aceptar una llave gpg del repositorio, le das yes y no te jode mas

es cada año:

no sabía que había un apt-key :p

pero creo que sí cambia:

pub   1024D/F42584E6 2008-04-06 [expires: 2012-05-15]
uid                  Lenny Stable Release Key <debian-
release en lists.debian.org>

nótese el "LENNY Stable Release Key", por lo cual creo que cambia para cada 
release estable y si no quieres irte al próximo release igual tienes que 
actualizarla cada año...

Ahora, este feature es relativamente nuevo según veo, tal vez ya esta más 
automatizado, la vez que tuve problemas con eso fue hace bastante...
