Hello, thank you very much for working on this and reverting to an older
ipxe package does solve the issue. but I am curious why qemu needs to
compare it with local romfile? why cannot rom be synced from source vm?

Bug description:

  # virsh migrate --live kvmguest-trusty-normal qemu+ssh://10.22.69.90/system
error: internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2017-08-28T13:03:01.352604Z qemu-system-x86_64: -chardev pty,id=charserial0: char device redirected to /dev/pts/0 (label charserial0)

Worked before merging a newer ipxe, so the current assumption is that
the rom changed and we need some quirk to handle the forward migration
  through the releases.

Solution might be in qemu/ipxe/libvirt therefore three bug tasks.
