Title:
librbd: potential race conditions handling API IO completions
Status in Ubuntu Cloud Archive:
New
Status in ceph package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
We've noticed an issue with a VM crashing with the following log
record:
[Sat Oct 24 15:54:40 2020] tp_librbd[65017]: segfault at 3f21 ip
00007f5ea8796266 sp 00007f5e82ffc500 error 4 in
librbd.so.1.12.0[7f5ea85b7000+5a3000]
With the following packages:
ii librbd1 15.2.3-0ubuntu0.20.04.2~cloud0 amd64 RADOS block device client library
ii python3-rbd 15.2.3-0ubuntu0.20.04.2~cloud0 amd64 Python 3 libraries for the Ceph librbd library
===
Upon verifying, this seems to be reported here:
https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/47456
With the fix patched here:
https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/36331
And the fix included inside 15.2.5
https://docs.ceph.com/en/latest/releases/octopus/
===
Would it be possible to bump the UCA shipped release of Ceph to
15.2.5?
