Closer inspection suggests that the glusterfs-common package in 16.04
doesn't have this problem...

Title:
glusterfs-common depends on architecture specific version of psmisc

Status in glusterfs package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Description of the problem:
While trying to install the 32 bit version of glusterfs-common on a 64 bit system (for testing purposes) on Ubuntu 14.04 on Travis (which only provides 64 bit environments) I ran into the following:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

glusterfs-common:i386 : Depends: psmisc:i386 but it is not going to
  be installed

I only need glusterfs-common for the includes and the libraries but I
don't see an easy way out of the above quandary short of a full
chroot/docker etc unfortunately. My only thought was: should the
psmisc dependency be of an any/all type?

I contacted Patrick Matthäi who was listed as the Debian maintainer
about this and he recommended that I contact the Ubuntu team.
