Hi, when using live (never got it to install) the desktop comes up very
quickly when booting from high speed usb key,
much slower from cd, in both cases I can use the desktop for about 10 to 20
seconds if I don't open applications, and about 5 to 10 seconds when opened
a app. Firefox or any other. Without warning or any message I find suddenly
that the mouse pointer does not anything neither does Ctrl, Alt, Backspace
or F2 or Del etc. only a hard reboot will do. Gigabyte G41 mainboard, Q6600
quad core cpu with aftermarket cooler, 2x2gb matched ddr2 memory, GTS550
with 1gb ddr5 memory, 700 watt dual rail power supply, main hdd Corsair
60gb sata3 ssd on sata3 (6gb) controller, 2x 1000gb WD 7200 HDD, 24" lcd
screen.
Runs windows 7_64 quite nicely with lots of development tools open, no
problems with other than *buntu distro's.
I can live without ubuntu, but I'm quite curious why it will not run after
version 10.4
