[ubuntu-nz] ubuntu will not install

Hi, last ubuntu I could install was 10.04 none of the later versions will,
neither install or run live
after a few seconds it freezes the computer.
The same for all other *buntu's also Mint, Bodhi etc.
Opensuse, PclinuxOs, Slacko runs just fine along win7_64
Anybody having a idea what's going on?
I really like ubuntu etc. because of the speed of the NZ servers for
software.
