Hi All,
thanks for the various suggestion that you have made... with them I
found the cause and the solution on this web page
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu#Adding%20the%20Repositories
The cause is:
"Medibuntu's repository is deactivated by upgrading to a newer Ubuntu
release, so you should run this command again after the release upgrade.
"
the solution is to run the following script in terminal
"sudo wget --output-document=/etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list
http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/$(lsb_release -cs).list && sudo
apt-get --quiet update && sudo apt-get --yes --quiet
--allow-unauthenticated install medibuntu-keyring && sudo apt-get
--quiet update"
then run
"sudo apt-get --yes install app-install-data-medibuntu
apport-hooks-medibuntu"
now go to the following web page
http://packages.medibuntu.org/lucid/libdvdcss2.html
on this page click on the "click here" button found in the sentance
"Download libdvdcss2
If you have already enabled Medibuntu, click here to automatically
install this package. For a manual download, use the table below."
and the libdvdcss2 will install and you can then run DVD's
thanks again
cheers
