[ubuntu-nz] Windows & Linux hybrid Internet Cafe idea

I've recently taken a position with a local internet cafe as a
Technician, as part of my job I've been assigned to rebuild the shop on
the more technical side. Mostly the basics... Revamp the network plan,
implement at least some security, improve the system maintainence and
generally clean it up from a total mess.

Strangely enough I've discovered there's to few Windows XP Licenses for
the shop than there is active systems. Then I had an idea, there are
active internet cafe's around the world that do run on a complete Linux
platform. What's stopping the internet cafe I work at?

So I'm asking this idea, is it worth while in a practical sense to
implement the remaining systems to Ubuntu Linux? Has anyone else come
across with this problem before?

I can't see any reason why not myself. With the existing Windows XP
systems, I'm planning to implement a peice of security software called
DeepFreeze, which locks the system to a solid state, erasing any changes
made during the previous uptime upon each reboot.
Natively Linux does hold this kind of security but it requires a
Administrative password to make system changes. USB devices do work with
Linux and theres little problem managing USB storage and media just the
same with Windows.
