Yeah. I guess, we are underpaid monkeys :-(
I don't think the mere existence of a website proves anything at all.
It's a community thing.
In the last 2 years of hosting ubuntu nepal website, we haven't had
community aspect growing and as such I believe, we still need time and
energy to grow.
Websites serve a purpose for communication within a community and if
the purpose isn't really serving anyone or if users aren't really
feeling that they are a part of a community then I don't know if it
really serves a purpose to have a website. I just said 'purpose' three
times!
Prasanna - Could you chuck in few thoughts as to why ubuntu.org.np
doesn't exist?
My understanding: Up'ing a website doesn't take more than good couple
of days. What takes long is forming a community and essence.
Absolutely hardly any one comes to IRC, no one communicates on mailing
list and hardly any one writes stuffs on the ubuntu nepal wiki. Now
what's the purpose of having a website? :)
Anyhow my take is let's see if we really need a website. And if it's
the really thing that we need.
