Hi folks,
I don't know what other Ubuntunistas/Ubunturos are upto these days;
This mailing list used to be lively some moons ago. :-)
I guess everyone moved onto their personal blogs heh.
Anyway, I have been busy with my work-life and everything else that
comes in between. I have been reading few good books[1] and trying to
update my blogging engine in the meantime[1].
Do update what interesting stuffs you guys are working on. If people
are interested in Linux, Ubuntu and free software, do post updates
we'd love to hear you say it.
AFAIK, Jitendra and folks are working arduously on interesting
projects at OTRC. I personally wish them all the best.
I just wanted to ask you all genuinely, what interests you in Ubuntu
or free software in general? How can Ubuntu Nepal become a better
community? Is Ubuntu the choice of software? and why? and more
importantly why not?
What does it fail to deliver and how can Ubuntu as a community better
support it's users? Remember, I am not asking for a definitive answer
here. I am instead trying to engage :-)
Also, there were discussions in the past regarding having someone in
Nepal to represent Ubuntu Nepal Community; We have just purchased the
next 2 year hosting cost; If you are the person who can rock the state
of Ubuntu in Nepal, do drop threads in this list. We know that the
state of Linux and Free Software in Nepal is still tiny compared to
other nations but given enough momentum, it'll help users of free
software in Nepal become well educated about their options at hand.
There are lots to do in terms of users, technology and overall state
of Ubuntu Nepal.
If you are good at system administration, do drop a line saying why
you would want to admin ubuntu.org.np.
Have a good one!
