About Additional Partitions

Well I think the new partitions created during setup as ext3 (say
/media/firstdrive and /media/seconddrive) wont be use writable.

So what i did was to create a new folder using sudo and then change its
ownership to my own

here is what I did,

$ sudo mkdir /media/firstdrive/stuffs
$ sudo chown bibek:bibek /media/firstdrive/stuffs

Then i can easily write my files inside /media/firstdrive/stuffs, without
proper permission you wont be able to write anything on the drives as normal
users, so this is one technique.

Also, during setup what you can do is mount a different partition to /home
folder so that during upgrade only / partition is changed
hope it helps, Cheers
