Hi to you all,
I will be travelling to Iceland next week for a week and I would like to
meetup with people interested in talking Free Software, GNU/Linux, Ubuntu
and the possibility to run events (say release parties or marketing
campaigns for Free Software) accross the Nordics. Or any other related topic
- My goal is to get to meet new people, have a beer or two and exchange
experiences on Free Software advocacy.
My name is Rubén Romero and I am an Ubuntu member, the contact person for
the Ubuntu Norway Local Community Team, driver of the SpreadUbuntu project
and an enthusiast for better collaboration among Free Software enthusiasts
in the Nordics through my participation in the Ubuntu Nordic team. In the
day I am a Sales Specialist at Redpill Linpro, the biggest Nordic FLOSS
consultancy and services company. Live in Oslo.
I really hope we can get something kickstarted (maybe even the Ubuntu
Iceland LoCo team?) and get higher adoption rates for Free Software and
hopefully gain synergy by cooperating with the rest of the LoCo teams in the
region.
So if you would like to meet up I will be in Reykjavik for the most part of
the time. Contact me by email for further details: huayra _ at t_ ubuntu _d0t._
com
Hope to see as many people as possible (or at least someone ;)
Bestu kveðjur,
Rubén Romero
