Bij het overzicht van aangesloten apparaten verschijn een AR5523 apparaat bij de USB2.0 sectie. Als ik hem loskoppel verdwijnt ie. Een van<BR>de zaken die ik nodig heb voor het blijvend kunnen werken met Ubuntu is een<BR>draadloze verbinding met mijn modem. Ik gebruik daarvoor de Siemens Gigaset <BR>108 en de Experiabox van de KPN.<BR>Na enig zoek en lees werk heb ik een duidelijk instructie gevonden om met<BR>NDISWRAPPER de win-drivers te installeren.<BR>Ik heb de volgende stappen uitgevoerd:<BR>- ndiswrapper-1.34.tar.gz uitgepakt en geinstalleerd<BR>- kopier de drivers voor deUSB Adapter (net5523.inf en athfmwdl.inf )<BR>- sudo ndiswrapper -i [pad]/driver.inf voor beide drivers<BR>- ndiswrapper - l geeft als resultaat driver present, bij beide drivers. En <BR>na het daadwerkelijk inprikken van de USB-adapter geeft ndiswrapper - l<BR>driver present EN hardware present bij de net5523.inf.<BR><BR>Maar dan gaat het mis. Volgens diverse forum-posting moet ik nu sudo<BR>modprobe ndiswrapper doen. Het resultaat is een foutmelding: <BR>FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper<BR>(/lib/modules/2.6.17-10-generic/kernel/drivers/net/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper.k<BR>o): Operation not permitted<BR>Ik heb met deze foutmelding gezocht naar oplossingen. Maar wat er beschreven <BR>wordt is mij niet duidelijk genoeg.
