Gutsy: geen geluid/wel geluid met oudere kernel

Hoi,

Een vriend zegt me zopas dat hij het inmiddels gekende geluidsprobleem heeft
sinds hij z'n Feisty in Gutsy heeft geupgraded;
maar 't is erg gek want als hij dan met z'n vorige kernel start heeft hij
WEL terug geluid.

Hij poste me ook wat info ivm zijn hardware, en onder zijn nieuwe (Gutsy)
kernel zie ik geen jota aan Alsa modules staan, alsof de kernel zelfs zijn
geluidschip niet vindt, dit terwijl het ALTIJD perfect gedraaid heeft onder
