Results from the October 20th America's Membership Board meeting

Hello everyone,

The approval results from the October 20th Americas Membership meeting
are as follows:

Thomas Martin

Thomas is a 23 year old college student and F/OSS & Ubuntu advocate
who has been using Ubuntu continuously since the 7.04 release. He is
mostly active through IRC in projects including support in Ubuntu
Beginners and mentors a team of students in Ohio in how to use Ubuntu
and EyeOS.

James Gifford

James is an Ubuntu user and advocate who has been coordinating Ubuntu
involvement in Cleveland, Ohio. He is an avid AskUbuntu user, ranking
within the top 10 users of the site.

Cesar Gomez

Cesar is one of the Council members of the Ubuntu Colombia team and
the Colombian Documentation Project. He has participated in several
events, including FLISOL 2010 and 2011 and Software Freedom Day events
for the past two years and helps with the Classroom-es team.

Jose Gutierrez

Jose is another of the Council members of the Ubuntu Colombia team
working from his home town to give people local to him the opportunity
use and becoming familiar with free software. He handles many of the
day to day administrative tasks of the Colombian team and has
participated in FLISOL and Software Freedom Day in 2011 and gives
support on Launchpad answers and through the Colombian Support team.

Eduardo Zúñiga

Eduardo has been using Ubuntu since 5.10 on servers and 7.10 on his
desktop pc. Located in Buenos Aires, Argentina he has participated in
many events since the 8.04 release, including: installfests in 2008
and 2010, UbuntuDay event at Globant offices in Buenos Aires in 2009,
2010 (Flisol) and Computing and Technology Conference at Escuela
Técnica.

Brandon Snider

Brandon has been using Ubuntu since Breezy and has been packaging
software in PPAs for several years. He also spends a lot of time in
various Ubuntu IRC channels helping users with issues or answering
questions.

Benjamin Kerensa

Benjamin is the current Team Lead for Ubuntu Oregon LoCo where he has
helped with an OSCon booth, and works with local groups like FreeGeek
and SalemLUG and makes himself available to do on-site Ubuntu installs
in his area. He has also helped with documentation, IRC-based support
and and bug triaging.

Marco Ceppi

Marco is a Linux System Administrator who has been using Ubuntu for 6
years. He primarily works on the Ask Ubuntu website, offering support
to users by answers to their questions and guidance for the community
as a site moderator


All of our applicants at this meeting had really strong testimonials,
so I want to thank them and their communities for coming out to
support these new members so strongly.
