I'm waiting for *prominent and honest coverage* of the installation problems
presented by the current upgrade, but reading through Ubuntu's official
pronouncements, it's as if none of these problems exist.

Some users have reported that even if the LiveCD works, a full installation
can fail. This means that until Ubuntu presents an objective test for
installability, or bug fixes, *users with problematic hardware are trapped.

If this problem is not addressed -- both as *a Public Relations problem*,
and as *a failure of the Beta Test process* -- users will increasingly
consider going to other distributions.
