Me too. I'm not sure how it will scale though since we don't have a
lot of pictures to go with news articles.

I actually liked the Work in Progress one:

It's lightweight and clean.  Most of the others were a little heavy on
graphics (even Sand & Mercury) but this one was more newspaper-ish in
feeling and it covered all the requested items in a nice manner.  I
think I'd prefer a colour tweak to the brown boxes on the right but I
do like the format. The mockup would look even better if it had a
picture in the displayed article area on the left.
