<div dir="ltr">The idea of pre-installing Linux is not very good because currently we have more than hundreds Linux distro. So, if they have em pre-installed, they will likely to have to keep at about hundreds of stocks per shop as if they wanna have all flavours. That's why they provide a package without OS and customer can decide on which OS to install. Maybe by promoting and providing the knowledge of easy installations of Ubuntu, all these sellers will have more choice of flavor for their products rather than those typical windows. The only thing is those manufacturer have to support this OpenSource Operating system for drivers and hardware related stuff.<br>

market forces at play. in other advanced countries where consumer rights<br>
is powerful, buyers can demand the major vendors to sell computers<br>
without unwanted software which has brought up the cost. our government<br>
is very far behind in terms of consumer rights (or any rights for that<br>
matter :P)<br>
