We should advocate and do more awareness activities to our beloved
government :)

Hey all,

The UK Government have been experimenting with Ubuntu recently on a
project being undertaken by the Cabinet Office.

The top-down message from government is one advocating shorter contracts
with smaller IT providers and investment in Open Source technologies.
Although this message has some way to go before it is adopted across the
board, the GOV.UK <http://GOV.UK> project is a pretty good example of
using agile techniques and OSS.

Check out this post outlining how GOV.UK <http://GOV.UK> uses OSS
(including Ubuntu)
http://digital.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/govuk-launch-colophon/

Cheers,

Chris
