[ubuntu-my] Ubuntu ditches X for Wayland?

Hi,

In reaction of the last article I am wondering why RH and Novell are not
sticking
together.

Nowadays a lot of software-giants are married or engaged to each other.

For instance: Oracle with MS; Navision with MS and there is probably soon
a party with SAP and MS.

In that grass-root thing there are fortunately a lot of grass-hoppers.
Mostly consumers.

As far as Wayland (or Neverland or whatever Land) I have no clue. All that I
know that
the "new" Gnome-Desktop has been postponed for many times. And it seems that
this
application is not so convenient for the Mobile phones. Hence perhaps the
decision of
Canonical to change to this new Land.

Last but not least also Canonical and Novell have engagements with MS. It is
inevitable
in order to survive. Faits accomplis as the French Linux-users would say.

Hopefully RH will cool his head and Novell will have a nice topic for the
future in its "novel".

Kind regards

Frans
