With your permission Administrator,

MSC Malaysia & Open Source Community in Malaysia is organizing An Open Source Convention 2009 in Berjaya Time Square Convention Centre from May 31st to the June 3rd 2009. I am inviting all of Ubuntu Members to participate and join us for the Convention. More information as state below.

? how open source software & the community can creatively help survive the impact of economic crisis.?

Come join over 600 open source developers, gurus, experts, and users in the first ever MSC Malaysia Open Source Convention in to be held from the 31st May to 3rd of June, 2009 in Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, congregating open source enthusiasts from not just Malaysia, but from other parts of the world.

MSC OSCON is heralded as the platform for ?gathering of tribes? of open source communities, as well as businesses, developers and its? communities share and show off their thoughts, experiences, ideas and projects. As the meat of the convention is its presentations and discussions, we have allocated 60 speaking slots opportunities. Drawing on a huge community of local, regional and international experts we will discuss some of the most current and poignant topics in the industry today.

MSC OSCON presents a comprehensive agenda, combining content from across the broad spectrum in open source. It is a unique event which collects together a global community into a single location for an intensive week of activity. MSC OSCON provides a great opportunity to take part in a very special event, where ideas mix together with language to create a network of collaboration and creativity.

This convention will include tutorials that go deep into the technology behind open source such as Perl, PHP, Programming, Python, Ruby, Security, Web Applications and much more. This convention will also feature some of the world?s foremost thinkers in high technology, intellectual property and knowledge creation, discussing the legal, moral, political, social, commercial, and technical issues of open source and free software.

Yes, MSC OSCON offers a dynamic opportunity to strengthen your organisation?s exposure to your key target markets!

Feel free to contact me if you need any further clarificassion on the matter.

Hello Rafe,

Sounds quite interesting.

Should I register myself for that meeting?

To my perception there are now great possibilities for the Open Source-alternative.

I am experiencing generally there is quite an interest for this issue.

Will await your reply.

Regards,

Frans van der Star

Thank you.
