[ubuntu-my] set ip address at linux

Yaya,

I make sure the IP, mask, and Gateway, and DNS, and proxy.... all follows a
computer
When i plug that computer network cable into my pc. It can't make the
connection... I scare if i also face this problem if i bring my ubuntu
machine to college...
