[ubuntu-my] Totem can play DVD

not the solution that you want but Totem CAN play DVD. however, there is
a quirk in that if use the menu item Movie > Play "DVD name", it doesn't
work quite well. in a terminal, type

sudo aptitude install totem-xine

this will remove totem-gstreamer but that's ok.

to get the necessary codecs to play DVD, insert a DVD and there will be
a pop up asking you if you want to install extra codecs. works better if
you add the medibuntu repositories in /etc/apt/sources.list

deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ gutsy free non-free
