Hola,
El cambio de SO por más que se intente hacer amable, cuesta trabajo, lo
mismo pasa cuando uno pasa de usar Windows a MacOs, o de MacOs a
FreeBsd. Es natural, espero que con los manuales y páginas que te hemos
mandado puedas empezarte a hacer una mejor idea.
No quiero dejar de mencionar que si estas en el DF o cerca del DF,
puedes ir a alguna de las reuniones de ubuntudf.org, que se organizan
cada 15 días y seguramente ahí te podrán ayudar físicamente a correr tu
programa.
De lo contrario y si estas en el EdoMex, mandame un correo y podemos
quedar un sabado/domingo en algún café para que te ayude. Si no estas
dentro de ninguno de esos rangos, siempre puedes verificar si hay un
equipo loco, o lug en tu ciudad. Seguramente alguien querrá y podrá
ayudarte.
