Thank you for the links. Regarding:
network.prefetch-next is only in use when APP_TYPE_MAIL is NOT being set
If network.prefetch-next is not used, why not setting it to false?

Waht about "network.dns.disablePrefetch" ?
I found nothing like that in my old icedove about:config
so for security reason I set a new boolean:
network.dns.disablePrefetch=true
