Hello
I am using Ubuntu 9.10 karmic koala and I have Firefox 3.6 stable build
(Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu Canonical - 1.0) and the problem is when I am
trying open a Java based web page, then either it appealing for installing
missing plug-in installation or nothing happens, I have Java installed from
Ubuntu respiratory. I also have 'Icetea plug-in installed' but when a page
appears where java based application installed (e.g. uploader) there a
pop-up appears with 'install missing plugin' and after clicking that, only 2
options 'sun java 6 plugin' and 'icetea plugin' is remained to be install,
but for both two it just saying 'The plugin is already installed', any of my
browser is not detecting the Java plugin, the plugin not even in the plugins
list.
What should I do to enable java, I am using a PC without Java plugin.
OS: Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala
Firefox: 3.6
Java: Java jre 6 update 15
Please let me know the solution.
Thank you
Avinandan Bhattacharyya
