Firefox-stable & Thunderbird-stable

Thanks for the information, and sorry for the slow response - my PSU
fried and I've only just got around to replacing it...

I've realised that the reason that I wasn't able to see the firefox
packages in the firefox-stable repository was because I had set Synaptic
to prefer package versions from Karmic (and not the highest version as
is the default). I set this after adding the ubuntu-mozilla-daily repo
(I wanted Tbird 3) either so that Firefox stable wouldn't be upgraded to
the nightly, or so that the Tbird nightly wouldn't be upgraded daily
(can't remember which).

Ideally I'd prefer to use a stable version of Thunderbird 3, so once the
thunderbird-stable repository is up I will stop using the
ubuntu-mozilla-daily repo. I'm sure that a lot of users feel the same,
so I'm a bit surprised that Canonical don't officially support
xxx-stable repos for Firefox, Thunderbird, OpenOffice.org etc. I really
appreciate the effort you guys (& gals?) are putting in to bridge the
gap between the six monthly releases and the bleeding edge.

I see that Thunderbird 3.0.4 has been released, so I'm looking forward
to the thunderbird-stable repo ;-)

Thanks again,

Giles
