Problem installing Flash Player

        Hi there:

        When I tried installing Flash Player, I received an error
        message saying "no description found in plug-in database: please
        report to Ubuntu" etc. And when I went from there to Synaptic
        Package to check, I recieved the following error message:
>         E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg
>         --configure -a' to correct the problem.
>         E: _cache->open() failed, please report.
        This suggestion produced no result...and as a consequence, I'm
        unable to access Synaptic. What caused this and how can it be
        fixed???
