Hi all,
Is there a bug number to go with the bug-report which was filed
through mail by somebody. I would like/love to track its status as
well.

Another query in the Hardy cycle there used to be 2 java webplugins I had seen.

a. the java-gcj-webplugin (provided by GNU Classpath) or java-gcj-compat-plugin
b. icedtea-7-webplugin or something like that.

There was also one more called icedtea6-webplugin

Now both seem to be not there, with the updated index there is just
icedtea6-plugin

I also tried to see the help documentation but couldn't find the right
information. There is

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Firefox but it doesn't link to
either any info. on Java or Flash or anything.

Also https://help.ubuntu.com/8.04/internet/C/web-browsing.html gives
just the mention of ubuntu-restricted-extras (which I suppose is the
metapackage) .

So in essence the question is :-

a. Is there a policy to have a single java webplugin for FF3 for Intrepid?

a1. Or are the other ones not upto the mark or support
infrastructure (as in not enough people to triage bugs & support ) not
there.

Would love to know about this as well. Sorry for diverging a bit from
the main question as well.
