That's an interesting observation and I cannot really see how
reinstalling the plugin would help in any way.
By saying that this happens after shutdown, do you really mean: "power
off" or rather suspend/hibernate?

Another question: are you using an amd64 install or a plain x86 one?
Do you use nspluginwrapper?
