The issue is blocked by the snap's transition to using core24, which is
blocked by some complex architectural problems. It is in progress and
expected to complete within weeks or months.

For me it's not such a big deal. Rendering most web pages in software is
hardly noticeable and using performance mode it actually renders more
smoothly than other laptops.
